“No Comparison”: One Homeowner’s Court, One Unforgettable Night
Some stories don’t need embellishment. This is one of them.
It started with a slope. Thirty-one feet of vertical drop across a one-acre lot.
Most people would have called it “too complicated.”
This homeowner called it a vision.
“We kinda had a vision for what was gonna take place up here. And NexCourt really helped us put that together.”
When you’re about to make a nearly six-figure investment in your property, you want more than a sales pitch. You want someone who’ll show up.
And that’s what happened.
“Mark Kundysek, the owner of the company, came out and met with me like the next day. He had his son with him. It was kind of cool to meet the owner of the company and his son… walked the property, gave him the vision.”
That moment matters. Because from the start, this wasn’t about transactions. It was about trust.
The Hard Part Nobody Sees
Slopes don’t move themselves. Drainage doesn’t solve itself. And subcontractors don’t magically all get along.
But step by step, the team made it work.
Chris Walker, the GM, came to walk the property and figure out how to tame the hillside. Then Jeremy Butler stepped in as the homeowner’s lifeline.
“Every time I made a phone call, he was always available. He answered every question I had along the way.”
The court was finished. Lines painted. Net up.
It was July. Warm, but forgiving. A Sunday evening when the sun refuses to go down.
“I had my son come over and a couple of nephews. We started playing pickleball around six o’clock. We ended up walking off the court at about 9:45. We played like for three and a half hours. Thirteen games. The last one went down to 13–11. My team won.”
Read that again. Thirteen games. Three and a half hours. On concrete? Impossible. On Sport Court surfacing?
“Well, in all honesty, I was a little bit sore… but yeah, Sport Court makes a difference. I couldn’t have done that on cement. No comparison.”
That’s not just performance. That’s the difference between a court you tolerate… and a court that makes you forget time. Sometimes ROI isn’t about warranties or technical specs. It’s about how you feel when you look back at the process.
“I was impressed with the quality of the subcontractors… I was a little bit worried about that, having a wife and grandkids around. But everybody was great.”
“They said what they were gonna do, and they delivered.”
That’s the heart of it. Not promises, proof.
Not a surface, a safe, reliable place where three generations can gather on a summer night and have fun without looking at the clock.
Why This Story Matters
Because anyone can say their courts are the best.
But not everyone can hand you a story like this.
A steep hillside became a family gathering place.
A vision became a surface that kept people playing long past dark.
A client walked away not just satisfied, but elated.
And in his own words:
“Sport Court makes a difference. I couldn’t have done that on cement. No comparison.”
That’s a man telling the truth.
And that’s why it matters.
